E-Newsletter No. 132 December 2024
On November 5th, We-the-People decided to fundamentally transform our country back to its original founding principles. The message was that we want to shrink the size and scope of the federal government. We want to curtail the administrative state, drain the swamp, and re-establish the principle behind the Tenth Amendment – – give more power back to the states and to the people. And hopefully, the new administration will advance the cause of liberty and protect our freedoms enshrined in the Bill of Rights.
We rejected identity politics and the divisiveness that had been promoted by the Left. Hopefully, e pluribus unum will continue to re-emerge. There were encouraging shifts towards conservative values that have served our country well in the past and have made our country a beacon of hope and freedom around the world.
But the To Do list is long and challenging. We must fix our broken immigration system. We must become energy independent. We must re-establish Freedom of Speech and combat censorship. The mainstream media must transform itself – more unbiased reporting of the news (good and bad) and less serving as the mouthpiece of the Left. If the legacy media companies do not do that, they will become increasingly irrelevant and their downward trends will continue.
And the federal government must get its fiscal house in order. We-the-People have spoken, and we pin a lot of our hopes on D.O.G.E. (the Department of Government Efficiency).
